Ionsquare is a development partner of Masabi, a London based mobile software developer. Most recently Ionsquare worked with Masabi to extend their programming framework to create a customizable side scrolling game engine for the J2ME platform together with associated exporters, level editing tools and documentation. The engine was then used to create a full nine level game, with customised level designs and graphics.

The engine was designed with portability, extensibility and ease of rebranding in mind. As a result, custom branded platform games can be created in under a month, as opposed to the three months that it typically would take a mobile games developer.
